Club Brugge midfielder Carlos Forbs scored two goals and provided one assist in the home game against Barcelona (3:3) in the 4th round of the Champions League group stage.
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, 21-year-old Forbs assisted Nicolo Tresoldi in the 6th minute of the match, and then scored against Barcelona in the 17th minute. He scored again in the 63rd minute.
Reportedly, Carlos Forbs, 21 years and 231 days old, became the youngest player to score a goal and provide an assist in a Champions League match against Barcelona. The previous record belonged to former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham (23 years, 137 days) in 1998.
Forbs, a 21-year-old footballer of the Club Brugge and Portugal, has been nominated for the Champions League Player of the Week award. He has played 15 games in all tournaments for Club Brugge, scoring four goals and providing five assists.
