The Cape Verde national team has qualified for the World Cup. Sport24.az reports that the team led by Bubista defeated Eswatini 3:0 in the 10th round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers and finished the group stage in first place with 23 points.
The Cape Verde national team will participate in the World Cup for the first time in its history. The 2026 World Cup will be held in the USA, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19 next year.
It should be noted that Patrik Andrade, a member of "Araz-Nakhchivan", also plays for the Cape Verde national team. Andrade was not included in the application form for this match. Leandro Andrade, the Cape Verdean footballer of "Qarabag", refused to play for the national team last year.
