Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has equaled his compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo's record by being named Premier League Player of the Month.
Report informs, citing the club's official website, that the 31-year-old midfielder earned the award for the 6th time in his career after scoring 2 goals and providing 4 assists in 4 games in March.
Fernandes surpassed James Garner, Morgan Gibbs-White, Anthony Gordon, Alex Iwobi, David Raya and Danny Welbeck in the voting. Only three players in Premier League history - Sergio Aguero, Harry Kane and Mohamed Salah - have won the award more times than Fernandes.
It should be noted that Ronaldo won his 6th Player of the Month title in April 2022, during his second spell at Manchester United.
