British Ambassador to Azerbaijan Fergus Auld will watch the Liverpool vs. Qarabag match live from the stadium in the last - eighth round of the UEFA Champions League league stage.
Expressing his excitement to watch the magnificent match to be held in England, F. Auld noted that Qarabag had a magnificent season and managed to defeat high-level European rivals both at home and away.
The ambassador especially recalled the match with the Danish team Copenhagen.
"Throughout the match, Qarabag's players really managed to be superior. They had problems with scoring goals in the last few seasons, but now they score decisive goals at important moments. To see that, it is enough to watch the match with Eintracht," the ambassador told AZERTAC.
F. Auld also emphasized that he expects a successful result from the Azerbaijani champion:
"When Chelsea visited Baku, many said that Qarabag had no chance. But I didn't think so. The 2:2 score was a fair result in an interesting game. Now I expect this scenario at 'Enfield', one of the biggest stadiums in European football. The opponent is Liverpool, the last winner of the world's most competitive league. But Liverpool is showing unstable games this season. Qarabag is on the verge of the biggest achievement in its history. I am very happy that I will personally participate in the game."
It should be noted that the Liverpool vs. Qarabag match in the UEFA Champions League will be held today at 23:59 Baku time.
