French club "Brest" is remembered in Ligue 1 with a rare event.
Idman.Biz reports that "Brest" included only French players in the starting lineup for the championship match against "Lyon". The team took the field with 11 local players. This last happened in the French championship in March 2012.
Interestingly, the starting lineup of the opposing side, "Lyon", did not include a single French player. This made the game even more remarkable from a statistical point of view.
It should be noted that it is almost unheard of in recent years for clubs in Ligue 1 to take the field with a completely local squad, and "Brest"'s choice has aroused particular interest.
