A new world record has been set in Portugal. Sport24.az reports that "Santa Clara" striker Gabriel Silva has become the fastest footballer in history by reaching a speed of 40.3 km/h in the match against "Famalicão". This result was recorded using the STATSports GPS system and officially confirmed by the club.
Gabriel Silva is a graduate of "Palmeiras". He won the Brazilian and Libertadores Cup with this club.
It should be noted that Silva has been playing in Portugal since 2022. He has played 98 games for the club representing the Azores, scored 16 goals and made 10 assists. At the end of the season, "Santa Clara" qualified for the Conference League by finishing fifth in the Portuguese championship.
