Moroccan national team and Real Madrid midfielder Brahim Dias has made his mark in the history of the Africa Cup of Nations. Sport24.az reports that the 26-year-old footballer is the first player to score in five consecutive matches in the final stage of the tournament.
He distinguished himself in the group stage of the ongoing tournament against the Comoros Islands (2-0), Mali (1-1), and Zambia (3-0). In the 1/8 finals, he found the net against Tanzania (1-0), and in the 1/4 finals against Cameroon (2-0). His successful streak helped his team reach the semi-finals, where Morocco will face the winner of the Algeria-Nigeria match.
It should be noted that Dias was born in Spain and played for the national teams of this country in various age groups. In 2024, he changed his sports citizenship and chose Morocco, to which his father is affiliated.
