Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus has been removed from the first team due to a video taken during his vacation.
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, the club management has suspended Neuhaus from football for 1 month. This was caused by a video taken in Mallorca of the footballer being drunk. Neuhaus spoke with club fans and joked about his salary.
The footballer also expressed negative opinions about Borussia's sporting director, Roland Virkus, calling him the worst coach in the world. It is noted that the footballer could not have made the insults to the director himself, but he laughed at the statement.
According to a statement from Borussia, Neuhaus will train with the youth team next month. According to the source, the footballer will also be fined 100,000 euros.
"Florian Neuhaus's behavior and statements are damaging to the club and unacceptable. His words have damaged the club and are a great disappointment to everyone involved. This does not align with the club's values," the club's press service quotes CEO Stefan Stegemann.
Last season, Borussia Mönchengladbach finished 10th in the Bundesliga. Neuhaus played 19 games in all competitions for the team and made one assist.
