Borussia Dortmund fans staged a protest during the German Cup 1/8 final match against Bayer Leverkusen.
İdman.Biz reports that the fans displayed a banner depicting an official letter sent to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It is noted that the Ministry of Internal Affairs will hold a conference in Bremen from December 3-5. According to media reports, the discussion of security issues in football stadiums is planned here. Earlier, it was reported that the police were considering stricter restrictions on the purchase of individual tickets and participation in matches. Some sources indicate that the introduction of a face recognition system and a complete ban on pyrotechnics are being considered.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please pay attention to the following points. Please remember that populist demands cannot be made without any factual basis. The public deserves a fact-based and transparent discussion. Negotiations must begin immediately. Finally, we offer you a constructive solution concept. Stadiums are safe," the fans' letter to the Ministry of Internal Affairs reads.
Last week, fans at all stadiums in the first and second Bundesliga protested by remaining silent for the first 12 minutes of the matches.
