Former FIFA President Joseph Blatter has criticized the current leadership of the federation and the course the organization has taken in recent years.

Blatter said that today they have lost football to Saudi Arabia: "They offered games to them, and they took them. It is surprising that there is no resistance to this within FIFA itself. There are too many football games. The same players, clubs suffer without rest. The excessive heat accompanying the Club World Cup throughout the summer is detrimental to health and unacceptable."
