Iranian national volleyball player Morteza Sharifi has set a new world record.

Idman.biz reports that in the game against the French team (3:0), he jumped and sent the ball into the opponent's zone at a speed of 139 km/h.

This was reported by the Iranian press.

It should be noted that the previous high scores belonged to Bulgarian Matey Kaziyski (132 km/h) and Cuban-born Wilfredo Leon (138 km/h).
