Betting on local football matches has been banned in Ghana.
İdman.biz reports that, according to "The Ghana Report", the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has completely banned the acceptance of bets on all national tournaments held in the country.
According to this decision, it will no longer be possible to bet on matches of the Ghana Premier League, the first division, the women's top league and other national competitions.
It should be noted that this step was taken as part of a strategy to combat match-fixing in the country. It is reported that the GFA's main goal is to strengthen confidence in national tournaments and ensure the principle of "fair play."
