Turkish club "Besiktas" has sacked Norwegian head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjær.
"Report" reports that the Istanbul club's press service has released a statement about this.
On Thursday, "Besiktas" lost 0:1 at home to the Swiss team "Lausanne" in the second leg of the final round of the UEFA Conference League play-off stage. With this result, "Besiktas" will not participate in the main stage of European competitions for the first time since the 2022/23 season.
The 52-year-old Solskjær was appointed as the head coach of "Besiktas" in January 2025. Under his leadership, the team finished 4th in the Turkish championship last season and reached the 1/4 finals of the national cup.
It is worth remembering that from 2018 to 2021, Solskjær was the head coach of the English club "Manchester United".
