Turkish club "Beşiktaş" is interested in signing Real Madrid defender David Alaba in this transfer window.
İdman.Biz reports this with reference to AS.
Beşiktaş head coach Sergen Yalçın stated that the club expects two or three reinforcements in the winter transfer window, and Alaba is one of the players they want to acquire.
The main problem with the transfer is Alaba's salary. Real Madrid owes the defender an additional 7 million euros for the remaining months of the season. "Beşiktaş" does not want to pay him this amount, and "Real Madrid" must continue to pay part of his salary in order to complete the deal. In addition, Alaba previously stated that he was a fan of "Galatasaray", the potential buyer's arch-rival.
This season, the player has made five appearances for Real Madrid in all competitions, but has not scored a goal. Alaba's current contract with the Madrid club runs until June 30, 2026. According to the Transfermarkt portal, the player's transfer value is 4 million euros.
