Berke Özer has been removed from the Turkish national football team.
According to Lent.az, the Turkish Football Federation has released a statement on the matter.
It was noted that Berke Özer, one of the team's goalkeepers, cited his exclusion from the squad for the Turkish national team's 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Bulgaria yesterday as the reason and left the team without permission from the management upon returning to Istanbul. This behavior was deemed unacceptable, and Berke Özer was removed from the team.
Muhammed Şengezer, a player from Istanbul's "Başakşehir" team, has been called up to the team in place of Berke Özer.
It should be noted that Berke Özer currently plays for the French team "Lille".
