Former Akhmat striker Bernard Berisha has shared memories of his career in Grozny, especially regarding a gift from Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov. Sport24.az reports that the Kosovan striker spoke about this in an interview with the Championat portal:
"We were losing 0:1 to Tambov. I scored in the last minute. After the game, Ramzan Akhmatovich gave me a car. It was great! I respect him very much, we still keep in touch today."
It should be noted that the forward has played for Akhmat since 2017. He is remembered for 28 goals and 23 assists in 199 appearances. On July 17, the parties terminated the contract by mutual agreement.
