Striker Karim Benzema spoke about his new club after joining Al-Hilal from Al-Ittihad.
According to Idman.Biz, Benzema compared his new club to Real Madrid.
"They are a good team with a rich history, they have won many cups. They are like the Real Madrid of Asia. Everything is good, the fans are great, the team plays well, they have quality players with the right attitude.
I liked this team before. When I played for Real Madrid, I faced them and it wasn't an easy match. It was a good game and I have good memories of it. Today I am happy to play for Al-Hilal," Benzema said on the new club's official website.
Benzema has been playing in the Saudi Arabian league since the summer of 2023, having transferred from Real Madrid. The French footballer won the Champions League five times with the Spanish club and was also awarded the Ballon d'Or. This season, he has scored 16 goals in 21 games in all competitions for the club.
