"Benfica" held a pre-match press conference ahead of their match against "Qarabag" in the first round of the Champions League group stage.
According to Idman.biz, the team's head coach Bruno Lage and forward Vangelis Pavlidis shared their expectations for the upcoming match.
"Qarabag's positional tactics are different, so the strategy and the match itself will be completely different. Our goal in the Champions League is clear: wherever and whenever we play, we must win and show good football," said Lage.
Pavlidis supported the head coach: "We want to start the Champions League with a victory and, as always, play attacking football, thus getting three points. We will show this against the Azerbaijani team as well."
The "Benfica" - "Qarabag" match will be held on September 16 at the "Estadio da Luz" stadium and will start at 23:00 Baku time.
