"Benfica" will formalize the appointment of Jose Mourinho as head coach in the next few hours. The Portuguese press reports this, according to Sport24.az.
It is reported that the specialist is already in Lisbon, at Benfica's base. It was noted that the club will officially announce the appointment in the next few hours. It was also emphasized that Mourinho will lead the team to training today.
It is worth recalling that after "Qarabag" defeated "Benfica" 3:2 away in the first round of the Champions League League stage, the head coach of the Portuguese representative, Bruno Lage, was dismissed.
Interestingly, it was "Fenerbahce", led by J. Mourinho, that "Benfica" eliminated in the play-offs. The specialist was then dismissed from his post.
