"Benfica" has filed a complaint with UEFA regarding Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde.
Idman.Biz reports that the Lisbon team lost 1-0 to the Spanish club in the first leg of the Champions League play-off stage.
In the 82nd minute of the match, Valverde punched Real Madrid defender Samuel Dahl in the head, causing the latter to fall while clutching his temples. The Uruguayan player was not penalized.
According to "O Jogo", "Benfica" believes that Valverde should have received a red card for the episode.
The club has communicated its position to UEFA.
The referee of the match was François Letexier.
