The Belarus national team faced serious flight difficulties while traveling to Denmark for a match within the qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup. Sport24.az reports, citing the press service of the Belarusian Football Federation, that the team could not leave for Copenhagen on time due to problems with border crossing.
On November 13, the team set off by bus to Warsaw, but after crossing the border, they were delayed for more than 12 hours in neutral territory. The team was delayed at the Polish checkpoint. Because of this, the federation had to change the departure time of the Warsaw-Copenhagen charter flight. As a result, the team's travel time has exceeded 18 hours.
It should be noted that the Denmark - Belarus match will be held tomorrow, the 15th, in Copenhagen.
