The main football stadium in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, has become a shelter for residents forced to leave their homes. Currently, this huge sports arena has opened its doors to homeless families.
İdman.Biz reports that the stadium can accommodate more than eight thousand people in total. However, this number is quite small compared to the overall refugee flow. As a result of military strikes carried out by Israel in the last five days, more than 450,000 residents of Lebanon have left their homes.
Images shared on social networks reflect the difficult situation of people finding shelter inside and around the stadium. According to witnesses, as the number of buildings destroyed by bombardments increases, the use of sports facilities for living becomes the only way out.
