Azerbaijan's beach soccer team has won all five friendly matches it held in Turkey.
This was stated by the head coach of the national team, Sahib Mammadov.
S. Mammadov emphasized that the preparation process was effective.
"I think the training camp went well. We played three games against the Moldova national team and two games against the Alanyaspor club, and we won each of them. One of our main goals was to test the young players we newly involved in the team. This preparation process was very beneficial for the team both physically and tactically, as well as in terms of game practice," he said in a statement to report.az.
He also spoke about future plans:
"There are still two months until the start of the European Championship, which will be held in Batumi, Georgia. Currently, the main goal is to become the champion in that tournament and get a ticket to Division A".
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team will compete in Division B of the European Championship. 8 teams will compete in the tournament to be held in Georgia - Georgia, Azerbaijan, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Belgium, Malta, England and Norway.
