Former Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu is accused of making illegal payments of around 30 million euros in connection with the transfers of Neymar, Antoine Griezmann, and Malcom.
According to Idman.biz, the club's current president, Joan Laporta, has filed a complaint regarding fraudulent schemes and violations of financial control.
"El Mundo" reports that the Barcelona investigation court has summoned Bartomeu and his former deputy, Oscar Grau, to testify on October 24. Suspected transactions include payments to Atletico Madrid for Griezmann's controversial transfer, inflated transfer fees for Malcom, and lawyer's fees related to the Neymar case.
Laporta noted that the damage to the club has been confirmed by experts and amounts to approximately 30 million euros. He emphasized that shell companies and fictitious contracts were used during Bartomeu's presidency.
The name of the former "Barça" leader has previously been mentioned in the "Barçagate" scandal and the Negreira case, but he has denied these allegations. If the current allegations are confirmed, Bartomeu and his associates face serious legal consequences.
