A bartender working at the stadium came to the shift wearing a "Manchester United" jersey. Fans quickly noticed and took photos and posted them on social networks.
The club's reaction was immediate:
"Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We can confirm that this individual has been relieved of their position," the statement said.
