The Spanish football club "Barcelona" is preparing to offer Polish striker Robert Lewandowski a new one-year contract with the condition of a significant reduction in his salary.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to the publication "Sport.es" that the experienced forward's future at the club will be determined after a meeting with head coach Hans-Dieter Flick. The Catalan representative expects an answer from the player by the end of April or the beginning of May.
According to reports, the new contract envisages a reduction of approximately 50% in Lewandowski's salary. It is reported that the 37-year-old striker, who currently feels happy at "Barcelona", is willing to take on a more secondary role in the team.
It should be noted that Robert Lewandowski has scored 16 goals and provided three assists in 37 games in all tournaments this season. The footballer's current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2026.
