"Barcelona" is close to finalizing negotiations for a new contract with Iñigo Martínez.

The contract with the 34-year-old defender, which expires next summer, is expected to be extended for one year. Team head coach Hans-Dieter Flick is also in favor of continuing cooperation with Iñigo. They form a reliable tandem in the center of defense with young Pau Cubarsí.
It should be noted that Martínez has appeared in 46 matches in all tournaments in the current season. He has scored three goals and made six assists in these matches.
