According to Idman.Biz, citing "OptaJose", they had previously done so in March 2012 against Bayer Leverkusen in the 1/8 finals (7:1) and in September 2016 against Celtic in the group stage (7:0).
In the 1/8 finals of the Champions League in the 2025/26 season, Barcelona defeated Newcastle United 7:2.
After two games, the Catalan club advanced to the quarter-finals of the tournament, where they will face Atletico Madrid.
The first quarter-final matches will be held on April 7.
