"Barcelona" is preparing the details of a new contract with midfielder Frenkie de Jong.
Lent.az reports that the 28-year-old Dutchman will earn approximately 9 million euros per year under the new contract. It will last until the summer of 2028, with the possibility of extending it for another year.
De Jong changed his agent earlier this week. The new representative met with the Barcelona leadership to discuss the details of the contract. De Jong's current contract runs until June 30, 2026.
In the 2024/25 season, the midfielder scored 2 goals and provided 2 assists in 46 games.
