The Spanish football club "Barcelona" continues its plans to strengthen its attack line for the upcoming season. This time, the target of the Catalan representative is "Benfica's" young star, Andreas Schjelderup.
Idman.Biz reports, citing "Marca", that the club's sporting director, Deco, considers the 21-year-old Norwegian footballer as one of the most suitable candidates to strengthen the left-wing attack.
Although Schjelderup has a contract with the Portuguese representative until 2028, his performance has attracted the attention of "Barça". The winger, currently valued at 20 million euros (40 million AZN), has scored seven goals and made four assists in all competitions this season.
Andreas Schjelderup himself said in a statement to the press that he was unaware of this interest, but did not hide that the possibility of playing for a club like "Barcelona" sounded fantastic. However, it is reported that "Benfica" does not intend to easily let go of the young talent and that his release clause is 100 million euros (200 million AZN).
