Lent.az reports that this victory is the first away win for the Catalan club in the most prestigious European club tournament in the last twenty years.
Barcelona had not won their first away game in the Champions League since the 2005/06 season. At that time, the Catalan team defeated Werder Bremen 2:0 and then advanced to the final, where they beat Arsenal 2:1 to win the cup.
