The Spanish football club "Barcelona" plans to strengthen its attacking line with "Atletico" star and Argentine international world champion Julian Alvarez.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to the "Cadena Ser" publication that sources close to club president Joan Laporta have confirmed that Ferran Torres could be included in the exchange process for this transfer to take place.
According to the Catalans' plan, the contract with Polish Robert Lewandowski will be extended for another year. However, according to the new agreement, the 37-year-old striker's salary will be reduced, and he will mainly play the role of a reserve player in the team. Julian Alvarez is expected to be the main striker, completing the attacking trio together with Raphinha and Lamine Yamal on the flanks.
The club management is also optimistic about the financial aspects of this transfer. "Barcelona" officials are confident that the transfer amount will not exceed 100 million euros (200 million AZN). Currently, Alvarez's market value is estimated at approximately 90 million euros (180 million AZN). The inclusion of Ferran Torres in this deal could further reduce the financial burden.
