"Barcelona" football club intends to transfer a new striker this summer, and it is expected that one of the current "number nines" will leave the team when the window opens.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to the "MD" publication that although the main target is Julian Alvarez, reaching an agreement with "Atletico" seems quite difficult. Therefore, the club management is considering "Galatasaray"'s striker Viktor Osimhen, worth 75 million euros (149 million 872 thousand AZN), as an alternative.
The plan is to bring in a high-level center forward. One of Robert Lewandowski or Ferran Torres will remain in the team and will serve as a substitute. Osimhen has attracted the attention of the management by scoring 56 goals in 70 games after joining the Turkish club.
However, "Barcelona" officials have some doubts about the Nigerian footballer's character. The way he left "Napoli" in 2024 worries the management, and for this reason, he is not in the first ranks among the reserve candidates.
The Catalans have also refused the services of two strikers. The management, which was interested in Benjamin Sesko before his transfer to "Manchester United" last summer, no longer intends to return to this issue. Also, the transfer of Dusan Vlahovic, whose contract with "Juventus" will expire in the summer, is not planned. The management believes that the Serbian player does not fit into head coach Hansi Flick's system.
