According to the source, the Catalan club will mobilize all its capabilities to add the Argentine forward to its squad in the upcoming summer transfer window.
However, "Barcelona" will only be able to realize this transfer if the financial fair play requirements of the Spanish La Liga are met. The club believes that Alvarez's playing style is similar to that of another South American striker, Luis Suarez, and for this reason, they are ready to pay 82 million euros for his transfer.
In the current season, Alvarez has played 27 matches for the club in all tournaments, scoring 11 goals and providing five assists. The reputable "Transfermarkt" portal estimates the player's market value at 100 million euros.
