35-year-old Mario Balotelli had the potential to become one of the world's greatest strikers, but the lack of consistency turned him more into a media star than an athlete, despite playing for teams like Inter, Manchester City, Liverpool and Milan early in his career.
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, Balotelli, who currently plays for Genoa, recently participated in the "Festival dello Sport" in Trento and spoke about his time at Barcelona and named today's strongest football players.
"When I was 15, Barcelona called me and I spent a month there, but Lumezzane - my team at the time - wanted a fortune for me. I was 15 years old and Barca were not interested in spending that much money on a young player, so I signed a contract with Inter," Balotelli said.
About today's best football players
"I really like Yamal; I think he is a very strong player. I also like Nico Williams, Haaland, Dembélé and Mbappé; they are also very strong."
