The qualification of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team for the 2026 World Cup is remembered for an interesting and scandalous incident.
İdman.Biz reports that before the decisive penalty shootout against Italy, a 14-year-old ball boy stole the notes of rival goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
14-year-old Affan Čizmić, who was declared a hero in the country, was invited to the local "FACE TV" channel after the incident. He brought to the live broadcast the piece of paper on which the Italian goalkeeper noted the directions of the players' shots during penalties and shared the details of what happened.
According to the teenager, the Italian goalkeeper was beside himself with anger when he felt the loss:
"Donnarumma was very angry when he found out that the paper was missing. He was throwing various things at the guards and policemen. Then I went home and together with my father we decided to put the paper up for auction. We will donate the proceeds to charity."

After the interview, the management of the TV channel made a big gesture to Affan Čizmić and promised to take him to the World Cup at their own expense. Thus, the ball boy "stole" not only Donnarumma's notes, but also his ticket to the World Cup.
