The operation of the reserve pitches at the Baku Olympic Stadium (BOS) will be restored in early August.
Idman.biz reports that Farid Asadzade, the press secretary of BOS, informed "Telegraf" about this.
According to him, the main pitch will be ready for games after the event to be held in May 2026.
It was previously announced that the qualifying match of Group D of the 2026 World Championship between the national teams of Azerbaijan and France will be held not at BOS, but at the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium.
It should be noted that BOS hosted the COP-29 event from November 11 to 22, 2024. In 2026, the 13th Session of the United Nations World Urban Forum will be organized at this stadium.
