"I would really like us to win this match with a good game."
This was said to İdman.biz by former Azerbaijani national team football player Bakhtiyar Musayev.
He shared his thoughts on the friendly match that the national team will play against the Latvian national team today. Musayev said that the match could end with the victory of our national team: "I hope that the winless streak will end with a good result. Latvia is not on the list of strong teams in Europe. Therefore, we have a great chance. We have had victories in our previous games against this team. The main thing is that our players can show a good game. Recently, the national team has neither game nor result."
According to the veteran football player, the victory in this match can be a great boost for future games: "It is a bit difficult for football players to play in the current period. Because the season is over in most leagues. After that, it is a bit difficult to focus on the games. Here, there is both the physical fatigue of the championship, and the fact that the national team gathers again and participates in the games while the teammates are resting can create a little psychological difficulty. I hope that our football players will focus well on the games and show their will. A lot depends on the head coach Fernando Santos to help the football players to focus well on the game. I wish our national team success."
It should be noted that the Latvia-Azerbaijan match, which will take place in Riga today, will start at 17:00 Baku time.
