"We are happy to have qualified for the play-offs".
Idman.Biz reports that these words were said by Qarabagh defender Bahlul Mustafazadeh in his statement to journalists at the airport after returning to Baku after the match with Liverpool.
"We are happy to have qualified for the play-offs. Of course, we feel sorry for yesterday's game. Overall, it was a good Champions League season for us. We continue on our way. The match against Liverpool will be a lesson for us".
Bahlul Mustafazadeh also spoke about potential opponents:
"Overall, Newcastle seems like a more suitable opponent for us than PSG. But both are very strong, we will try to fight worthily".
The defender of Qarabagh commented on the news about his transfer to a Chinese club:
"There is no official offer yet. It would not be right to say anything about it now".
It should be noted that Qarabagh lost to Liverpool 0:6 in England in the last round of the league stage. Despite the big defeat, Qarabagh, who finished the tournament table in 22nd place with 10 points, qualified for the next round. Thus, "the steeds" became the first Azerbaijani club to reach the play-off stage of the Champions League.
