Serious changes are planned in the management structure of the Turkish football club "Galatasaray" before the next general assembly with elections to be held in May.
Idman.Biz reports that, according to the information spread by journalist Ali Naci Küçük, within the framework of these changes, the return of former striker Bafetimbi Gomis, who has become a favorite of the "yellow-red" fans, to the club is envisaged.
According to the information, along with Gomis, former manager Cenk Ergün will also return and take the post of sports director. It is reported that 40-year-old Gomis will perform administrative duties in this new structure. This step aims to both strengthen the club's international relations and further strengthen ties with fans.
The French star wore the Galatasaray uniform in two different periods, in 2017-2018 and 2022-2023. He scored 51 goals in 86 official games for the yellow-red team and was remembered with nine assists. Gomis was one of the main contributors to the championships won.
