"Qarabağ" defender Badavi Huseynov commented on receiving an invitation to the Azerbaijan national team again.
He thanked the national team's head coach Aykhan Abbasov for the invitation:
"Yes, I was expecting an invitation from the national team. It's true that I haven't been playing much lately. But my experience can be useful to the national team. I am grateful to Aykhan Abbasov for the invitation. I will try to live up to expectations. I will do my best to benefit the team," he said in his statement to futbolxeber.az.
The experienced defender said that our national team can score points in the matches against Iceland and France within the framework of the qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup:
"We have two difficult games ahead of us. Everything depends on us. The national team has been more enthusiastic in recent games. We were very close to scoring points in the match against Ukraine. The referee simply didn't show a red card to the opposing player. The team did not make a bad impression in the first match against the French either. Therefore, it is possible to score points in the upcoming matches."
