Azerbaijan's beach soccer team will play friendly matches against the Moldovan national team and "Alanyaspor".
This was stated to "Report" by the team's head coach Sahib Mammadov.
He announced the details of the team's training camp:
"The training camp starts today and will last until April 13. The plan is to hold three friendly matches with the Moldovan national team. These matches will take place on April 5, 7 and 8. Then, on the 10th and 11th of the month, there will be two friendly matches with the Turkish club "Alanyaspor". The main purpose of the trip is to test our strength in these games."
S.Mammadov noted that the main goal is a prestigious tournament to be held in Georgia in July:
"We are preparing for the European Championship to be held in Batumi in July. There are currently 13 players in the squad. Four of them - Isa Zeynalli, Tural Gurbatov, Isa Isayev and Emil Umarov are new. While we were in Baku, we continued training three times a week. I believe that after this training camp we will increase our level of preparation a little more and we will be fully ready for the tournament in Batumi."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team will compete in Division B of the European Championship. 8 teams will compete in the tournament - the national teams of Georgia, Azerbaijan, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Belgium, Malta, England and Norway.
