Azerbaijani national team footballer Nigar Mirzaliyeva called it a joyful event to be selected for the symbolic team of the VIII round in the Russian Women's League.
The 23-year-old defender stated this in an interview with "Report".
She said that she played well in the match they won against Rubin:
"That's why I was included in the symbolic "11".
The player also spoke about her main goals in the St. Petersburg team:
"The championship is currently ongoing. We have difficult games every week. This season is completely different. It is possible to compete with all clubs. But I think we will be champions again. For this, we are seriously preparing for the next matches as well".
N. Mirzaliyeva also touched upon the match that the Azerbaijani national team will play against Lithuania on May 30 in the group stage of the Nations League:
"We will try to win. To qualify for the next round, we need to score as many goals as possible. I think our team will be able to do it."
It should be noted that Zenit is in third place among 13 teams with 17 points after 8 rounds in the Russian Women's League. Nigar Mirzaliyeva has been the Russian champion twice with this team.
