Azerbaijani football has set a historical record in the UEFA ranking.
İdman.Biz reports that after the completion of the European Cup play-off stage, our country finished the 2025/2026 season in 27th place with 22.937 points.
This is the highest indicator recorded in Azerbaijan's 5-season ranking history (the previous record was 20.125 points).
Thanks to the 5.812 points earned this season, Azerbaijan managed to overtake Russia, Slovakia and Bulgaria in the ranking table. The main contributor to this success is "Qarabağ" (4.687 points), which managed to advance to the play-off stage in the Champions League. Other representatives, "Sabah" contributed 0.625 points, "Araz-Naxçıvan" 0.375 points, and "Zira" 0.125 points.
