Today, our national team will play its last match in the qualifying round of the World Cup 2026. Sport24.az reports that the team led by Aykhan Abbasov will face France in the 6th round.

Both teams will enter the field with losses. Elvin Jafarquliyev and Toral Bayramov will not be in our national team, while the guests have arrived in Baku without their main stars Kilian Mbappe, Eduardo Camavinga and Manu Kone.

It should be noted that France is the leader of Group D with 13 points and has already secured a ticket to the World Cup. Iceland and Ukraine share 2nd-3rd places with 7 points. Our national team is the last in the group with 1 point and it is known that regardless of the outcome of this match, it will finish the qualifying round in 4th place.
