The Azerbaijan Beach Soccer Super League has been more successful than expected in terms of organization.
This was stated to "Report" by Rufat Hasanov, manager of the Beach Soccer Federation.
He stated that there was enough spectator interest in the competition:
"The organization was more successful than we expected. The audience's interest was also high. We organized live broadcasts of the games on the Internet. A large audience watched the matches live."
The official of the institution said that some football players who played in the tournament will be invited to the national team:
"6 teams, consisting of players from the I League, minifootball and AFFA Regional League, competed in the national championship. Almost all teams had players who played in the beach soccer national team or were involved in training camps. The main fight was between the VTB and "Marafon" teams. The champion was determined in the last round. VTB won against its opponent with a score of 7:4. "Chinar Zangilan" took third place. Some new football players also appeared on the field. They will be involved in the national team's training camps from now on."
He reminded that the national champion and the second place winner will compete in the European Cups:
"The national champion will represent Azerbaijan in the "Euro Winners Cup", where the winners of the beach soccer championships of European countries will compete. "Marafon" won a ticket to the "Challenge Cup", which is considered the play-off stage of this competition."
It should be noted that "VTB Bank" became the national champion after winning 7:4 over "Marafon" in the last round of the Super League. "Marafon" finished the competition in second place. "Chinar Zangilan", who defeated "Dirçəliş" with a score of 5:4, won the bronze medal.
