"We knew this game would be difficult".
These words were spoken by Azer Salahli, the captain of "Imishli", after a 1:0 victory over "Kapaz" in the 28th round of the Misli Premier League.
"We knew this game would be difficult. Because it was a very important match for both teams. From a position point of view, this was a six-point game, not a three-point game. We are happy that we won and we will now focus on the upcoming games," he said in a statement to sportnet.az.
A.Salahli said that despite the fact that this victory greatly increased the team's chances of staying in the Premier League, they will not be complacent:
"I don't think such a thing will happen. We prepare from game to game. Every opponent is different. We will go to the field for the maximum result in the next match as well. It doesn't matter whether we stay in the league or what place we are in, our main goal is to show good results in every game".
The captain also spoke about the upcoming game with "Sumgayit" and said that there is no need for extra motivation:
"What happened in the game with Sumgayit is already in the past. It was an incident that happened at the beginning of the championship and has already been forgotten. We will prepare for the next game as a normal match, there is no special principle".
He also clarified the tension that arose in the previous match:
"There it was just the aggression caused by missing a penalty in the last minutes. It wasn't a big deal".
