An interview with Azer Bagirov, the head coach of "Kapaz", to Sport24.az.
- Did the break due to the national team games help your work?
- We tried to make the most of the approximately two-week break. The result of the match against "Qarabag" in the last round caused dissatisfaction among the coaching staff. We thought we should raise the condition. Last week we had 7 trainings in 5 days. We wanted to improve our quality with this.
- 2 weeks have passed since your appointment. You were dissatisfied with the physical condition of the players. Were you able to eliminate this deficiency?
- I think that shortcomings will be eliminated from training to training. In my opinion, an official match is more important than training. How will the team impress in the upcoming rounds? The result of the work we have done in a short time will be known then. God willing, everything will be as we want.
- The team's staff was completed before you. Are any changes expected in the team?
- We continue with the current staff. Certain changes are expected. There are some points that are not as we want. But forcibly, the players have to adapt to our philosophy, and we have to adapt to them.
- Are you currently in talks with any players?
- No. There are no negotiations with any players or agents.
- You will face "Shamakhi" in the next round. What are your expectations from this game?
- God willing, it will be better for "Kapaz". The players understand the importance of the game. We take every match seriously and want to get the maximum result.
