"The game was generally at an equal level. Both teams managed to create danger in certain episodes. I think our goal episodes in the second half were more realistic, and if we could have taken advantage of that opportunity correctly, the score could have been different. Of course, we were disappointed with the result." These words were said by Azar Salahli, a football player of "Imishli", in his statement to Sport24.az.
The experienced football player shared his thoughts about the game they lost to "Turan Tovuz" in the first game of the season:
"We have a newly formed team, and I think we need some time at this stage. We have some shortcomings, but we are working on them systematically, and I believe that we will eliminate them over time. Regardless of the opponent, we go out to get the maximum result in every game. Our main goal is to maintain a stable position in the Premier League and, if possible, rise to the upper ranks in the tournament table. The whole team is working diligently to achieve this goal. I think we are on the right track in this direction, and I believe that we will achieve our goals."
Salahli also shared his expectations from the game against "Neftchi", which they will face in the next round:
"Regardless of the opponent, we approach all games with the same level of seriousness and prepare with the same concentration. The match with "Neftchi" is no exception. Our goal is not to repeat the mistakes we made in the game with "Turan Tovuz" and to leave the meeting with a favorable result."
It should be noted that "Imishli" lost to "Turan Tovuz" with a score of 0:1 in the first round of the season.
