Ayxan Süleymanlı, a football player of "Sumgayit" and the captain of the Azerbaijan U-21 national team, has ended his season.
This was stated to "Report" by Zaur Khudiyev, the press secretary of the Sumgayit team.
The club official said that the football player will undergo surgery:
"Ayxan's injury is serious. Discussions with the national team doctors are currently ongoing. He will most likely undergo surgery. He will then enter a long rehabilitation period. It can be said that the season is over for Ayxan."
It should be noted that A.Süleymanlı suffered a serious injury in the match against the Bulgarian national team (1:1) in Baku in the II round of Group B of the EURO-2027 qualifying round. His cruciate ligaments are torn.
